I adore the Scottish Northern Highlands: the vistas, the sea and mountains and rivers, and more than anything, the light. At dusk the light comes in sideways and golden, I say, creating the perfect highlights for every setting.

Sometimes the photographer is blessed with a hand-of-God spot light that illuminates the perfect part of a scene. On some blessed days, the rainbows, black and rolling clouds, and beams of sunlight follow you everywhere.
